Welcome to our church blog.

As part of the launch of our new website we have included a 'church blog'. The reason we have done this is to reflect on the life of Plains Evangelical Church in a way that lets many people interact with us. The blog is not designed to change the world or influence the church global - it is simply a means of allowing us as leaders at Plains to share our thoughts on our lives together. So what you will find here is information on what's going on at Plains, reflections on what the Lord is doing among us and a little window into what books we are reading and what preachers we are listening to. We would like to encourage you to leave comments and interact with the various posts you will find here. Let me introduce you to who you will find blogging here: Jim Coyle - Jim is an elder at Plains who works as an IT manager Bob Douglas - Bob is also an elder at Plains and he works as an accountant Jon Gemmell - Jon is Assistant Minister at Plains and has a specific responsibility for evangelism and community development; and finally me Alan McKnight - I have been at Plains for the past 20 years, serving as minister for the past 7 From time to time we will also have guest bloggers who will make a contribution on this site.
